Angel plot: Because I'm that OCD
This is for all folks who volunteered to help out with the Angel plot. I figure this way we can organize things and people can start talking to each other about how things will work.
So far it looks like these are the definites:
1) Angel will get sick very late Friday night and be dragged to FTEC where he'll remain for the duration of this plotline. (This will probably last a week just to give everyone a chance to do something.)
2) Paige will unsuccessfully attempt to heal him either Saturday or Sunday
3) Giles will be the one to confirm/figure out that Angel's been hit with the Killer of the Dead poison
4) Folks over in the UK will try to do a research mission to find out more about the poison, possibly including a run-in with Andrew.
Beyond that we've got tons of fandoms and people to play with, so hopefully we can find something for everyone to do.
My current thought is that it'd probably be easier if we have a UK team and a Fandom team. So I'm going to make some OCD threads for anybody in the UK who wants to join in to talk with the others and co-ordinate, and same deal for those in Fandom.
In a worst case scenario we've got Giles with a possible avenue to Slayers who could all donate some blood to give Angel enough to heal him. My preference is for this to be a cross-fandom solution however, so let's keep that as a plan B. So UK folks? Maybe you're the ones who research the poison and start finding alt solutions, and maybe the Fandom folks are the ones who actually get the alt solution? (Doesn't have to be that, I'm just brainstorming.)
Also so far radio looks like the easiest deus ex machina to get the information out there to people who might not normally be in the loop about what's going on with Angel. I know some folks (like UK people) need to be kept in the dark about Angel being sick, so can you guys just not listen to the radio that day? Would that mess you up at all? Lemme know.
Now to make some OCD threads. Cause I'm just. That. Anal.
[ooc:OCD threads a-coming! Up like uppy things!]

Radio killed the UK-bound?

There's other ways to make that happen if we need to though. Like radio could hold off until the UK folks are gone, or we could figure out a way to grapevine it.
A possible quick and dirty solution is that the Fri night stuff is NFB but anything on Saturday is fair game. That gets the UK gang out of town and still provides a way for others to hear about it in a fairly timely fashion.
Re: Radio killed the UK-bound?
BTW, totally bowing before the OCD threads and separate post...
Re: Radio killed the UK-bound?
Giles is all hostile becuase Jenny was brought back from the dead to baby-sit Angel. And Giles has never really gotten over the whole torture thing.
Still bowing before your mad organizational skillz.
Re: Radio killed the UK-bound?
What if a friend of Angel's came by the bookstore to research and then ended up pleading his case once they found out who Giles was? This could be a job for Veronica, Logan, or Callisto for example

Of course, Rupert would probably have to ask her about that first. But, hey, bookstore trip!
(I refer to him as Giles when I'm playing Janet, and Rupert when I'm playing Jenny. You know, sometimes I worry about me.)
Re: Radio killed the UK-bound?
And however happy she is to be back, it just deeply offends Giles's sense of order and balance. He'll buy her story on the surface, but deep down he'll still cuddle that grudge (against Angel) like his favorite vampyre tome.

*pats poor Giles* He should be well familiar with the world being out of balance, shouldn't he? Though I can't blame him for carrying a grudge. Just let Jenny get an inkling that she wasn't found dead on the landing at Sunnydale High...

However we travel, leaving before the broadcast eliminates the amazing coincidence aspect of everyone on the trip not listening. (We could even explain the broadcast was delayed, and thus went out later than usual.) But it's not a big deal either way.
