Angel plot: Because I'm that OCD

This is for all folks who volunteered to help out with the Angel plot. I figure this way we can organize things and people can start talking to each other about how things will work.

So far it looks like these are the definites:

1) Angel will get sick very late Friday night and be dragged to FTEC where he'll remain for the duration of this plotline. (This will probably last a week just to give everyone a chance to do something.)

2) Paige will unsuccessfully attempt to heal him either Saturday or Sunday

3) Giles will be the one to confirm/figure out that Angel's been hit with the Killer of the Dead poison

4) Folks over in the UK will try to do a research mission to find out more about the poison, possibly including a run-in with Andrew.

Beyond that we've got tons of fandoms and people to play with, so hopefully we can find something for everyone to do.

My current thought is that it'd probably be easier if we have a UK team and a Fandom team. So I'm going to make some OCD threads for anybody in the UK who wants to join in to talk with the others and co-ordinate, and same deal for those in Fandom.

In a worst case scenario we've got Giles with a possible avenue to Slayers who could all donate some blood to give Angel enough to heal him. My preference is for this to be a cross-fandom solution however, so let's keep that as a plan B. So UK folks? Maybe you're the ones who research the poison and start finding alt solutions, and maybe the Fandom folks are the ones who actually get the alt solution? (Doesn't have to be that, I'm just brainstorming.)

Also so far radio looks like the easiest deus ex machina to get the information out there to people who might not normally be in the loop about what's going on with Angel. I know some folks (like UK people) need to be kept in the dark about Angel being sick, so can you guys just not listen to the radio that day? Would that mess you up at all? Lemme know.

Now to make some OCD threads. Cause I'm just. That. Anal.

[ooc: OCD threads a-coming! Up like uppy things!]

As I said here (http://community.livejournal.com/fhplotterywheel/789.html?thread=18453#t18453). Pippi has a crystal ball that could provide a jumping off point for a search for a cure. It would be totally in character for her to pack something like that for England.

(Can't bring a flintlock through customs... Crystal Ball! Yeah. That's just as good! What if somebody gets lost! How can I not pack it!)

I've been wanting to bring in Angela's canon ability to see ghosts anyhow -- could she have an encounter with, e.g., the ghost of a Slayer that would help point them in the right direction?

(For people who don't know the canon: yes, she sees ghosts. They seem like people; the tip-off they aren't is that no one else can see them, with the exception of Angela's mother. In MSCL canon, Angela doesn't seem to know what's going on, though at FH I've let her have some inkling.)

If that isn't useful, research ahoy!

Plus, she's got some extra motivation because of hou this happens. *glee*

Re: England gang

[identity profile] anole-x.livejournal.com 2006-03-03 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Like I mentioned over in the other thread, Victor has a variety of abilities that can be used for this. Most notibly for anything involving stealth/subterfuge/kidnapping, he can stick to any solid (like walls and ceilings) and blend into his surroundings, effectivly becoming invisible. I won't go into the confusing, detailed explaination how it works, but he can also become mostly invisible while moving. I say mostly because his powers still have to adapt to the new background, and since he's not a master at his abilities yet anyone who has really sharp eyes can still see his outline. I'm not sure if he can mask his shadow, however, because it hasn't beeen dealt with in canon yet.

So, after all that explaination, the point is that for, say, a minute, Victor can hold the hands of two people and make all three of them invisible. Like I said, this might be helpful to some people. Plus, if they get caught he can always tie people up with his tongue. Mind out of the gutter!

Alpha 5 will be there, chaperoning in a mostly NPC capacity, but I'm sure I can jump in with him if it will help facilitate any kind of plot movement or communication back to Fandom, as he does have a direct link to Zordon. Or, you know, he can muck up messages too if necessary, 'cause he's just that ditzy. ^_^

Also? She's a decent street thief.

Okay, since I'm lazy as all hell, I refuse to sign in as Rita to do this:

Rita'll be in England at least part of the time, should you need her. And we all know her abilities - she can hang with Jenny and do her witchy thing. :)

And just to make the not-logging-out worth it, Rory's canonically an *amazing* researcher. Throw her in a library, tell her what we're looking for, and watch her go.

Because V wouldn't have any qualms about breaking into the library to do research if no one could get access.

England Gang Sum Up...

[identity profile] oatmanspatient.livejournal.com 2006-03-03 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay... just going over the England Gang thread I wanted to run this idea by you since this is your little plotty thing.

1. Gang in UK find out about Angel in Trouble.
2. Assuming that the Watcher's council has some sort of secret text that might have a cure, the gang goes hunting for the new uber-secret Watcher's HQ. Possibly located by Pippi's crystal ball and then gotten there by the knight's bus.
3. Figuring that they need an inside knowledge of the Watcher's council the gang grabs what they think is an important member of the Council. Turns out to be Andrew. *facepalm*
4. The gang breaks into watcher's council while Blair and some students tries to distract the council by having PETUS (People for the Ethical Treatment of the Undead with Souls).
5. We break into the Watcher library where:
a. Anglea talks with the Ghost of a slayer
b. We find out some tidbit of a solution for the gang back home to try
c. Marty beats up Andrew. Just because it's fun.
