General Request for Plotting and Organization

Hey, everyone. It's that special time of year again.

In an effort to keep things a little more organized for plottishness and so on, we're going to ask a quick favor of you all.

Could you please reply to each appropriate comment below, and let us know what kind of powers/abilities/etc your character possesses? This is for all characters - students/alumni, teachers and townies - and covers everything including especially good researching/support skills, magic, skill with weaponry, mutations and so on. This is mandatory for all characters, and we would appreciate it ASAP though there is no specific deadline.

Anything that is a canon1 power or ability of your character and could be used in a plot in some way, please list below in the correct thread. Temporary powers for specific plots do not need to be noted now.

Thank you so much for helping me out with this.

(And naturally, there will be threads, so please to be waiting for them and they are up.)

1 In this instance, "canon" does refer to FH canon as well. If your character at this time has honed their fighting skills or anything like that, please do make sure to note that. For guidelines on characters picking up abilities, please see this post.

2 For those of you who had characters around this summer and just want to C&P what you put in the post then, here is a shiny link. Why, yes, I did just C&P everything over.

John's kind of middle of the road. He can fight but he's not great at it. He's learned to fire a weapon but he'd rather not. He can run really fast away from bad guys.

Basically, with John, you get someone who will fight with you no matter what, keep getting up until he can't possibly get up anymore, and won't think of himself when jumping in.

He's been support in several plots already.

Cedric's a wizard. His magic is strictly wand based which means he can't perform any spells without his wand. He's a pretty strong wizard for his age group. He can also fly on a broom.

Lana's smart, good at organizing things (ran a coffee shop at the same time she was getting straight A's in school), and she's learned a small amount of martial arts. Not enough to be useful in any way at this point, but...

And, um, she's nice. And thoughtful and kind. High skill levels in all of those. ;)

Oh, and she has a taser.

In all honesty right now Neil's got nothing.

He's an ordinary confused teen from 1950s New England. He hasn't been around Fandom long enough to even pick up research support skills but hopefully that will change after a semester in Mr. Winchester's class.

Ray's a canonical boxer and he's pretty damn good at it despite never going pro. He knows how to fight, where to punch for the maximum pain and how to protect himself during a fight.

Ray can handle handguns and rifles, most likely. Canonically, he becomes a cop so he's had some practice and, while he's not the best, he's more than capable.

Zero has a basic familiarity with guns, but she's not anything like a good shot. Since coming to Fandom, she has adopted as her weapon of choice a neon green croquet mallet. It seems to be working out for her.

Angela can see ghosts, or ghosts sometimes show themselves to her. Canon is not hugely sense-making on this, but in-game I've established that it's an inherited family trait and VERY occasionally extends to a general metaphysical sensitivity.

Tyler can make chemical explosives. He's good enough to blow up pretty much anything he wants to, though as he's self-taught, he screws up more often than someone with, say, a military background would. He can hold, aim and shoot a gun, but they tend to make him nervous. He's probably only a slightly above-average shot.

Zero has no formal training, but her lack of fear makes up for that, as do the steel-toed boots. She fights dirty, and has taken on opponents twice her size and prevailed. She's pretty much a brawler, and will pull hair, bite, or kick 'em in the balls if needed.

Wilson has expansive medical knowledge being a working doctor. He came to Fandom with a solid ability to think outside the box and diagnostic strength from spending years as 'Watson' to House's brilliant 'Holmes'.

Since being in Fandom he's been exposed to wide varity of different physiology and alien biology and has honed his diagnostic and treating skills to suit the wide range of individuals on the island.

He's also got strong trauma skills -again from Fandom- and a level head -from dealing with House!- and is fairly unshakable in chaotic situations.

Tyler is a really good and very energetic street fighter. But as with explosives, he's self-taught and won't have the abilities of someone with more formal training.

Z has an SPD-issued energy weapon, which she has learned to turn up to a setting that will do more than annoy a gnat (a skill she never mastered on the show), and with which she has fairly good aim.
