General Request for Plotting and Organization
Hey, everyone. It's that special time of year again.
In an effort to keep things a little more organized for plottishness and so on, we're going to ask a quick favor of you all.
Could you please reply to each appropriate comment below, and let us know what kind of powers/abilities/etc your character possesses? This is for all characters - students/alumni, teachers and townies - and covers everything including especially good researching/support skills, magic, skill with weaponry, mutations and so on. This is mandatory for all characters, and we would appreciate it ASAP though there is no specific deadline.
Anything that is a canon1 power or ability of your character and could be used in a plot in some way, please list below in the correct thread. Temporary powers for specific plots do not need to be noted now.
Thank you so much for helping me out with this.
(And naturally, there will be threads,so please to be waiting for them and they are up.)
1 In this instance, "canon" does refer to FH canon as well. If your character at this time has honed their fighting skills or anything like that, please do make sure to note that. For guidelines on characters picking up abilities, please see this post.
2 For those of you who had characters around this summer and just want to C&P what you put in the post then, here is a shiny link. Why, yes, I did just C&P everything over.

Magic Abilities
Please reply with a detailed explanation of how your ability/ies works.

Re: Magic Abilities
I'll put his Whitelighter powers under "Inherent" below. Magic-wise, he can generate a force field bubble to protect himself and has telekinesis. His future self was seen to blow stuff up (like Mom) and throw energy balls. He can do spells of an almost infinite variety from the Book of Shadows. He's conjured his dead grandmother and made her corporeal (as in alive, not a zombie), manifested a dragon he saw on TV, switched his parents' powers, and possessed some sort of firestarting power. He also is heir to the sword Excalibur (yes, THE Excalibur) and is supposedly the next King Arthur. He can use his power to summon Excalibur to his hand.
Right now he can only do stuff by instinctive reaction (projecting the force field when he's in danger), but he's learning.

Re: Magic Abilities
Aly can see immediately whether the person she looked at had magic or godhood (good or evil); whether the person was ill, pregnant, or lying. It also revealed the presence of poison in water or food. Her power makes it possible for her to clearly discern the tiniest of details, things invisible to the normal eye, or to see far into the distance.

Re: Magic Abilities
They can be used offensively, but they're kind of weak. Less damage than punching someone. They're more suited to situations where you'd need that particular element for some reason.
In her canon, anyone can learn basic magic, so she could teach someone else Fire, Ice, Water and/or Lightning if they were so inclined.

Re: Magic Abilities
For those familiar with such things, he's essentially Dr. Strange (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr_Strange#Powers_and_abilities) before the death of The Ancient One (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr_Strange#Silver_Age_Strange). (Albeit, played for comedy, flighty, and with a bit of a Necromantic bent.)
Re: Magic Abilities
She could probably cast a spell with good instruction or she'd at least give it a try without much hesitation.
Re: Magic Abilities
Re: Magic Abilities
He also learned how to block some telepathy.

Re: Magic Abilities
Mary Suepowerful witches in Buffyverse. Or, at the very least, she grows up to be. Right now she's still learning but, unlike the other Buffyverse characters, she has the raw magical talent to do the real bad-ass spells.Right now her two perfect spells are disinviting vampires and resouling Angel. (According to canon, the disinvitation spell needs a proper witch, but a beginning witch is fine. Angel's curse, however, is a powerful spell and Willow's the only known person in Buffyverse who can do it.)
She also has telekinesis which she can use to move small objects (pencils, stakes) around with some accuracy, and I've had her practicing to show her gaining the ability that lets her move bigger stuff.
Canon-wise her magic so works at the speed of the plot, but she's got locator spells, she's worked on an instant-sunlight spell, she's got some fire-starting, and later on in canon she gets things like teleportation spells into the mix as well as telepathy.
There are also more powerful magics that she uses in later seasons, but the implication is that she got them when she dipped into dark magic and her spells wouldn't have been the same if she'd stayed on the right path. OTOH in s7 there's the implication that she was always uber-powerful and just needed to know how to control her magic properly so... yeah. Here's me quite happy to play Willow back when her spells still did the wacky from time to time.
Oh, and she's also known to hack spells to make them bigger, better, yellow, faster, different.

Re: Inherent Abilities
As The Paper, Yomiko has the ability to control, well, paper with her mind. In this she is limited only by two things: her imagination, and the forms paper can take. She can make a paper airplane that will fly and carry two people, but it still looks like a paper airplane. She can animate origami animals, but they still look like origami, not real animals made of paper.
She can do some pretty kick-ass things, though. She can make the paper razor-sharp, she can make it bulletproof, she can make small sheets stick together to form a wall. She can use a twist of paper as a lockpick. She doesn't have to be touching the paper for her gift to work, either (for example, in the movie, she sends a dollar bill flying through the air to slice up a guy who's trying to kill her up).

Support Skills
Additionally, this is the place to reply with medical experience if your character has any.
Please reply with a detailed explanation of what abilities your character is possesses, and their skill level/s.
Re: Support Skills
Basically, with John, you get someone who will fight with you no matter what, keep getting up until he can't possibly get up anymore, and won't think of himself when jumping in.
He's been support in several plots already.
