General Request for Plotting and Organization!

omg, guys. It's your favorite time of the new semester. That's right, it's CHARACTER ABILITY TALLY DAY, YAY!!

Okay, you could at least fake the excitement. God.

In an effort to keep things a little more organized for plottishness and so on, we're going to ask a quick favor of you all.

Could you please reply to each appropriate comment below, and let us know what kind of powers/abilities/etc your character possesses? This is for all characters - students/alumni, teachers and townies - and covers everything including especially good researching/support skills, magic, skill with weaponry, mutations and so on. This is mandatory for all characters, and we would appreciate it ASAP though there is no specific deadline.

Anything that is a canon1 power or ability of your character and could be used in a plot in some way, please list below in the correct thread. Temporary powers for specific plots do not need to be noted now.

Please be as thorough as possible, as this will help everyone out with plots and knowing who can fill what roles.

Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to do this!

(And naturally, there will be threads, so please wait for the rather long OCD or I will have to kill something Threads are up!)

1 In this instance, "canon" does refer to FH canon as well. If your character at this time has honed their fighting skills or anything like that, please do make sure to note that. For guidelines on characters picking up abilities, please see this post.

2 For those of you who had characters around last year and just want to C&P what you put in the post then, here are some shiny links. Why, yes, I did just C&P everything over. Again. I'm very lazy efficient that way omg.

Ohhhhh, this one. Yay. Due to the fact that Skrull DNA can be transfered onto other people, Chad will, on occasion and based on the amount of sexual activity he'd been having with his significant other, have the ability to shapeshift and heal himself, although his ability is significantly less than Teddy's. Ahhhh, Fandom and Marvel. Got to love them.

Thanks to exposure to too much Kryptonite, Chloe's tears can bring people back from the dead, temporarily killing her in the process.

Go ahead and laugh, because I certainly did.

Shawn's ability is considered biokinesis.

1) He can heal, anything and anyone. Quite literally. Cancer, gun shot wounds, broken legs, colds, papercuts, whatever. In humans and animals. He has been known to bring a bird back to life, but the writers like to change this one at will, so I go lalala and pretend that he can't heal the dead. It does make him feel a little weak if he's healing something major.

2) In the same way, he can drain the life force from people (and presumably animals, although they've never shown it). I assume the drained life force goes into him giving him a bit more energy/strength since the opposite happens when he heals serious injuries, however they've never actually confirmed this.

Not a mutant, but it's totally the DNA's fault. :)

Ane's a human/Coralian hybrid created to partner and fly a sentient LFO and end the world, but there will be no world ending here. As a result, she has extremely heightened reflexes, eyesight, and has a much higher tolerance for G-Forces than humans. All of these abilities have been honed to perfection over the last ten years of experimentation.

She can also 'hear' other Coralians telepathically, and sense their presence over great distances. The telepathy does NOT extend to humans/mutants/mystical/other aliens/etc.

The DNA grafting also gave her a Coralian personality that's usually dormant. It's mean, it's nasty, and it likes to kill things. It's also far better at combat than Anemone. It might flare briefly if she's really pissed off, but it will remain the dormant persona unless she's in life-threatening danger or takes her combat medication.

I suppose Bart should go here. His grandfather, Barry Allen, was the second Flash, passing down his powers to Bart. Oh, and his mom's side of the family? Also speedsters.

He's faster than you can imagine, able to vibrate at such a speed that he can run through things or allow weapons to pass through him.

But he has the attention span of a kitten on crack. *sigh*

Mikey really doesn't have any exceptional abilities due to his mutation if one looks at it from the point of view of a human.

If one looks at it from the point of view of a weetiny turtle, then he's very large, can walk on two feet, is highly intelligent, and can speak fluent English, oh my!

Yay, messed-up DNA! I ended up writing a novel, so I'll try to cut it down to a novella...

1) Telekinesis: Charlie has fairly good but not perfect control over her moving-things-with-her-mind abilities. She can lift anything up to her own weight, and probably more than her own weight. Smaller fine motor skills are more difficult, but she's good enough to get a key in a lock, if not pick it with lockpicks. If she uses her TK for too long (say, for several hours running) she'll develop a migraine/sugar-crash headache from the effort; she's using her own body energy to manipulate things.

2) Pyrokinesis: Whoa, scary. Charlie's PK is heat-based, not ignition based. There doesn't have to be an O2 in an area for her to destroy nearly any material (metal, stone, ceramic included), given enough time/concentration. Things may not ignite, but they will still lose structural integrity as she melts them, if there's no oxygen. Her heat generation was measured at 300,000 degrees F of spot-heat eight years ago, and has increased some immeasurable, freakish amount since then.

Her ability to manipulate fire has improved significantly after three months worth of steady practice. She can now: keep her ignition of materials under control over longer periods of time; direct the flames in a particular direction (see TK above) with a medium-to-high degree of control; manipulate things telekinetically while setting fire to them (3-4 max). She *still* can't turn off a fire; she's attempted it, and experienced "feedback" that causes pain. She does not get tired while using her PK; the fire is probably being channeled from another, extra-dimensional source. What does decrease is her control-- the concentration required is the same as driving a car in heavy traffic.

Charlie killed approximately 25 people using her powers when she was eight years old. Put in a life-or-death situation, she would use them in defense of herself or others again.

After being bitten by a genetically altered spider, Peter gained the proportionate strength, speed, and agility of a spider. In practical terms, he can move/run/dodge very quickly, jump very high, and bench about 7 tons if he really pushed himself. Additionally, he can cling to most surfaces, allowing him to climb and hang from walls and ceilings. And he has a sixth sense that alerts him to danger. The closer and more dangerous it is, the stronger a tingle in the back on his head is.

Jean-Paul can move at ridiculously high speeds, fly, and create a burst of superbright light from his body. He also has equilibrium, balance, and agility well above human norms, to enable him to move and react at such high speeds, in addition to incredibly tough skin (because windburn at Mach 10 would be a bitch). He also has a revved-up metabolism because of the whole superspeed thing, which can be a weakness as he needs to eat on a regular basis.

Also, Jean-Paul can fly faster than his twin sister, Jeanne-Marie, but she can fly farther, meaning JP doesn't have much stamina. *has a dirty mind*

Z can create copies of herself, called 'replicates.' Canon is kind of fuzzy on how exactly this works, so I've kind of had to make up my own rules. Replicates can be either solid or insubstantial holograms--the second kind are easier to maintain--and are not quite autonomous, in that there is a sort of mental link back to the original Z. She cannot control them through this link, although they all think like her and won't rebel or anything anyway, but if she gets a certain physical distance from her replicate or falls asleep or unconscious, the link is severed and the replicate disappears. When Z reabsorbs a replicate she also gains all its knowledge and memories. When she creates or absorbs a replicate her eyes briefly glow yellow.

Molly is a Marvel mutant with near invulnerability and super human strength. The upper limits of her strength have not been tested, but in canon at age twelve she knocked over a monster that was bigger than a skyscraper by standing under its foot and pushing.

Peter is able to (with OOC permission) pick up the abilities of whoever he's standing next to. He's training with Prue right now, so soon my RL schedule allowing he'll figure out that he can pull up previously copied powers at any time.

As the list of what Peter can and can't do is ever-changable, OCD about it can be found here in the Wiki (http://fandomhigh.arborum.net/index.php/Peter_Petrelli#Peter.27s_Powers). It'll be updated whenever necessary.

Johnny wasn't born the way he is but body chemistry now is completely genetic.

He can envelope himself in and manipulate fire. He can direct flame as a blast of superheated plasma, or manipulate it for various shapes, temperatures, or effects. He can absorb flame into his body, or extinguish ambient flame at will. Johnny can fly in excess of the speed of sound, and has sufficient ambient heat to vaporize projectiles that approach him. The uppermost level of his power is his "Nova Flame," or Supernova, which is usually released omni-directionally and reaches temperatures of 1,000,000 degrees Celsius thus allowing him to be faster than sound; any level lower than this cannot burn him.

Johnny's control over his powers are precise. He can light and extinguish instantly. He can melt steel, brick, anything. His flying is just the same. He can be flying at the speed of sound and stop on a dime.

If his oxygen leven decrease, so does his ability to use his fire - he can be put out with great quanties of water and flame retardant foam. He can re-ignite instantly once oxygen is returned, with no ill effects.

Jamie has the ability to take kinetic energy and use it to create duplicates of himself. These duplicates can then be absorbed by Jamie later on and be able to retain any skills or memories the duplicate may have gained while apart from the original Jamie.

John may show up on some sort of tachyon field futurey time travelly scan thing. Doubtful. Has that weird leg thing from the Graduation where if he is exposed to alien DNA in that hole in his shin he can take on attributes for a limited time.

Cable is a filthy filthy mutie, but his powers stemming from that are all *points* in the psychic thread. At full power, he's... well, he could probably blow up the world if he put his mind to it.

Lucky for us that burns him out TO THE DEATH pretty quickly.

Kerrigan's psychic powers are based in her DNA as well - she has near-limitless potential, but due to the way she was trained, is fairly incapable of reaching it at the moment.
