General Request for Plotting and Organization!

omg, guys. It's your favorite time of the new semester. That's right, it's CHARACTER ABILITY TALLY DAY, YAY!!

Okay, you could at least fake the excitement. God.

In an effort to keep things a little more organized for plottishness and so on, we're going to ask a quick favor of you all.

Could you please reply to each appropriate comment below, and let us know what kind of powers/abilities/etc your character possesses? This is for all characters - students/alumni, teachers and townies - and covers everything including especially good researching/support skills, magic, skill with weaponry, mutations and so on. This is mandatory for all characters, and we would appreciate it ASAP though there is no specific deadline.

Anything that is a canon1 power or ability of your character and could be used in a plot in some way, please list below in the correct thread. Temporary powers for specific plots do not need to be noted now.

Please be as thorough as possible, as this will help everyone out with plots and knowing who can fill what roles.

Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to do this!

(And naturally, there will be threads, so please wait for the rather long OCD or I will have to kill something Threads are up!)

1 In this instance, "canon" does refer to FH canon as well. If your character at this time has honed their fighting skills or anything like that, please do make sure to note that. For guidelines on characters picking up abilities, please see this post.

2 For those of you who had characters around last year and just want to C&P what you put in the post then, here are some shiny links. Why, yes, I did just C&P everything over. Again. I'm very lazy efficient that way omg.

Stark is a Banik and also a Stykera (see also: "glowy plot device yay").

So he's not entirely corporeal, and in canon once survived being disintegrated because he could transfer most of himself to another plane of existence. That's what the whole glowy face thing is about, that's the non-corporeal part of him shining through.

The Stykera thing essentially means he deals with the dead. Crossing souls over to "the other side," and occasionally seeing people who are dead but got stuck for some reason. He also absorbs a little bit of the people he's crossed over, so he (if plot requires it) can know things that crossed over souls knew. He can also sense deaths. Sometimes that makes him crazy, though he got better at not being crazy while he was in Fandom. Most of the time. Part of the Stykera thing also allows him to give thoughts to others, generally nice happy thoughts to comfort them while they're dying or injured, although one time in canon he threatened to show someone things that would make them cry forever because he was pissed off. The giving happy thoughts may help in healing people, it's unclear, but at the very least it helps them rest. Related to that, he can "take your pain," which means share it so it isn't so bad for you. We think.

He's also done a couple really wacky things with time in canon. One time he opened up a tear in time and pulled himself and a few others into the past, and the other time he helped Zhaan unfreeze time but I can't even begin to explain most of that episode, so.

Basically, glowy plot device when plot called for such a thing.

And, being a Farscape alien, he has those nifty translator microbes living in his brain so he can understand most languages. Yet another plot device that works in mysterious and inconsistent ways.
