Storm those brains!

Time for another brainstorming post! With newbies coming in I'm sure there are plenty of ideas folks have to kick around. So kick away! Only, yanno, gently. Because otherwise the ideas get bruised and it's horrible and sad.

OCD is up! Storm away!

I had this idea for a Vanishing Point (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Vanishing_Point) plot, where Hoshi has hallucinations about becoming invisible and thinking that people can't see her.

That sounds interesting.

Though instead of having people think they disappear, what if they really did?

It'd probably be more on a scale of a BDE perhaps as randomly people begin to vanish. Of course all the 'victims' are still there, just unable to interact.

Hrm. *ponders more*

Tony has a spell in canon called "Notice Me Not" which makes it so the person can't be heard/seen, etc. Sadly, his instruction manual did not come with a way to turn the spell *off*. I'm up for using that as a catalyst for a plot.

FWIW, we sort of did that with the Creepy Shadows plot, though most of the victims faded gradually, becoming both invisible and intangible. That's not to say a variation couldn't be interesting, though.

How about a mini invasion of Sleestaks? The old school ones not the ones from the re-make series.

Something like a more specific AU day, only we'd have to venture to the Pit of Voles and use the most godawful fanfic characterization of our pups?

I so want a Bad Fanfic Day.

Even if it does mean Romeo would spend the whole thing pining after Mercutio.

If this plot involved an actual pit of voles at some point it would be the best thing ever.

..maybe the only way to get back to normal? you must wade through a pit of voles!

And make it through to the other side without succumbing to their nefarious corrupting . . . something.

Tony's a wizard! Except that he's just starting out and trying to teach himself magic from a home-instruction course left to him by a wizard from another dimension. As he tries to learn new spells, it's pretty much guaranteed that something will go wrong.

So if you need a bit of wacky magic for anything, I'm up for it.

More on Tony's magic.

Dor can make inanimate objects talk and make them tell anything that might have happened while they were in someone's possession or reveal their own nature.

In the somewhat unlikely event that someone has a plot that involves people trying to physically torture someone for information, Tahiri won't be breaking and spilling information everywhere. Just throwing that out there. ;)

As I mentioned in her info post - Joan is pretty much a walking plot device.

God frequently appears to her and gives her random tasks/assignments. She never knows what the point is but they always do have some sort of impact.

For example - in "Drive, He Said" - God tells Joan not to reschedule her driver's license test for the fifth time. He keeps showing up and insisting that she go and take the exam. She does and she gets her license. Later, God shows up and tells her to take her brother for a drive. They end up stumbling across their father, who had been car-jacked and wrecked his car on purpose to escape. If they hadn't found him, he likely would have died from his injuries.

So if you ever need a catalyst for anything for your character, I'd be happy to have Joan receive an order from God to do *something* and help that along :D
