January Brainstorming Post!
And now, your monthly dose of storming brains.
Today's forecast calls for an incoming plottiness front and an 80% chance of brains from the SKYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.
You know, that's kind of a . . . I can't decide if the mental image frightens or amuses me. Probably both.
OCD is up! Storm away!

Re: General Brainstorming
While I wouldn't say the specific item from the plot would need to be used, it would be a hot potato plot with three groups and no external antagonists, which might be interesting.
The item in the original plot was something called the Speaking Gun from the Nightside books by Simon R. Green. The details of how it ran are here (http://community.livejournal.com/ways_back_room/2129895.html).
*hides*
I mean, not that exactly, but something like it. I dunno.

And now I want to read the book, too. 'Cause, you know, I don't have enough books that I need to read, yet.
Re: General Brainstorming
...though the author has a tendency to interconnect his book series sometimes in a way that makes me twitchy. ^_^

Cause they're not RPers! ...sometimes. *looks sideways at a couple of authors*

There's GOOD!characters who'd think they couldn't trust it with anyone else.
There's CONFLICTED!characters who'd think "I could use it as a threat to make THIS happen..."
There's DESPERATE!characters who'd think "I'd just use it once to unmake THIS and then everything would go back to how it was."
There's ANGRY!characters who'd have the item work on making them irrational.
There's PROTECTIVE!characters who'd see their friends being hurt and think 'just him to save this person'.
An item of power has the capacity to mess with people, even if they're not necessarily morally ambiguous, so I suppose I phrased that wrong.
