Apologies, apologies, apologies! We've totally flaked on this for the past couple of months. I won't speak for

willbedone as far as inviting punishment, but you can make indignant noises in my direction for it if you like. *shameface*

Anyway, this is the monthly brainstorming post, and I hope this means you guys have a ton of stuff to throw into the mix today, so have at it, in the appropriate OCD thread! And they are up, so go go go!

This is down here because it's sort of . . . the antithesis of a plot spare part, really, and I'm kind of hesitant to even ask because what it basically amounts to is me asking if anyone has a plot that I can sort of piggyback a bit of personal character development onto. Which I don't really want to do, but while it's something I kind of want/need to have happen I don't want to make a whole plot out of this one thing.

And it's a long way off still, too -- but planning canon catchup is tricky when you're trying to completely rework an entire trilogy of WTFery. *cough*

To wit: anyone have any kind of plottage in mind for sometime in the not-so-near future (six months or more, maybe, although I'm fairly flexible on timing) that calls for someone to do something crazy and self-sacrificing (but survivable) to keep a bunch of people from getting hurt, or at least hurt more severely? (The canon example is failing to disarm a bomb, but managing to deflect a good chunk of the damage.) What I have in mind wouldn't call for much more than that one incident, and I'd be perfectly happy to work things out so it'd have minimal impact on the rest of the plot.

I might have something? I'm still working out the details of that particular bit in my head, but I do have something in the six months or more range that would involve saving a large group by doing something crazy. The particulars are a little hazy in general, though.

I haven't planned any plotty for Claire yet... but it's entirely possible that six months from now I may have something that would work? If so, I will definitely keep you in mind.

Oh hay, I actually do have something.

I would love for someone, presumably a boytype, to be cruising the net for the things boytypes cruise the net for (because girltypes never do, of course *shines halo*), come across Mary Midnight and note the resemblance to Francine.

Yes, that's her mother. Oh, canon.

Pinup shots of her mom going around the school behind Francine's back, with people wondering whether it's actually her? Priiiiiceless.

Hahahahahahahaha! Oh dear, poor Francine.

By the end of canon, there are actual shots of Francine floating around the internets too -- *points to icon* -- due to the running gag of jerk-ex-boyfriend obtaining a set of polaroids (and the bikini pictured therein) taken on a vacation with the bf before him, hanging on to them forever, and eventually uploading them in a fit of pique.

Why can I see Chuck Bass doing that?

But Chuck is such a dear, sweet boy! *snickers*

. . . let's just please, make sure nobody makes cracks about it in the presence of Katchoo (who totally knows, I've just decided, because I just decided Samantha Weis had a Mary Midnight shrine), or she will have to cut a bitch. ;)

Oh, I also have another one that I want to throw out there.

I have plans for, at some point, Tahiri's lightsaber to get destroyed, so she has to build a new one. The whole idea here is that it's going to have a connection to Fandom for her, so I need her to be able to get a hold of a focusing crystal for the new lightsaber.

I've already had one offer for how this could be done, but I'd like to weigh a few more options if I can get them, but I'm just kind of stumped as to how/where she's going to get a crystal. So if anyone has any ideas on that point, I'd love to hear them. :)

Dude, see, this is why I throw these ideas in here. I was totally thinking of something much more complex, and DUH, it doesn't have to be.
