Brainstorming Time!

Again? Really? Holy crap, where did that month go?

I am far too sleepy to come up with a witty poem to match TBQ's effort from last month, so I'll just pose the question again of where did that month go?

Hey, maybe you've gotten some nifty new ideas in the meantime. We had some great ones last month.

I keep thinking on a 'time loop' idea a la Groundhog Day. This is one of those barely formed ideas (as evidenced by my lack of details) but my firs thought was characters being able to go back and relive a particularly vivid moment in their life through some form of Fandom magic. And they'd relive it over and over and over as if they were seeing it for the first time.

It'd be up to character to break the time loop and get themselves back to Fandom. That would, of course, leave it up to the player to decide how to break the time loop. As in how would the character have to play something out in order for things to be right, so to speak.

So, half formed idea but it's been percolating for a few days randomly.

Ha, I have to comment from this account because now I want to watch "Been There, Done That" again -- which is actually my suggestion, since the entire idea of the Groundhog Day concept as it was done in BTDT was that Xena had to solve a problem (in the most insane way possible) in order to stop the time loop, and every time she relived it she had to pick up new clues to put together and find a solution.

So that's one option. :)

I think we've tossed this idea around before on a previous post. I think the idea was that the island got in a loop where it got destroyed by some cataclysm every day for a week and people had to figure out how to do it.

I know SG-1 and ST:TNG had some great episodes along these lines. I'm all for it.
