Character Abilities Tally!

Hey, guys!

For everybody's convenience in plotting, we try to keep a running (ifyoudon'tcountlastsemestercough) list of the various abilities possessed by FH characters. If you ever find yourself saying, "Hey, I need a magic user/archer/ninja/person who can watch 48 straight hours of Zac Efron movies and still remain sane," that list of powers is meant to be there for you to take a look at. (It's not mandatory; it just gives everybody a better reference when they're looking for people to help out with plots, and hey, might get your character roped into something fun!)

Here's how we deal with updating this baby!

  • All of the previous posts have been compiled into a spreadsheet that you can always head over to check; it's linked on the FH community info page.

  • This post only needs to be filled out for new characters, or if you have a correction/update for your older ones. If your stuff is listed over on the spreadsheet and nothing's changed, there's no need to fill out that category again. (And my poor aging eyes will love you because it's one less cell to update on a seven-page spreadsheet.)

  • The categories focus on "what can you do" instead of worrying about whether that's a magic or mutant or species-specific ability. So wacky powers are just broken into spellcasting, psionic powers, and superhuman physical attributes.

  • Anything that is a canon power or ability of your character (including those developed at FH) and could be used in a plot in some way, please list below in the correct thread. This is for all character types - students, teachers, townies and alumni/expats - and covers everything, not just the wacky powers. We also appreciate yer fighting, research, weapons, support skills and Zefron-resistance.

Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to do this!

[Wait for the OCD or NO AU KIDS FOR YOU. *keeps them all* OCD is up! Have at it.]

George is a Reaper. She can't die, because she's already dead. She heals quickly when injured -- not Deadpool speed, but she holds a severed finger in place with a Band-Aid until it reattaches.

The Reaper metabolism also makes her body process poisons quickly. This means that she needs huge quantities of alcohol to get drunk, or drugs to get high/wasted.

Hank's physical body is actually a clone of his original self that was grown in a vat. He's died at least 14 times, but his father is a superscientist.

That doesn't give him any abilities or anything -- it's just a fun fact. Also, Hank isn't aware of it.

Emma possesses the ability to transform her body into a flexible organic diamond form. In many ways, this is similar to Colossus' organic steel form. She must transform all parts of her body, rather than selectively transforming certain areas and can remain in this form for an indetermined amount of time. Infopost is here.

◊ Superhuman Strength: In her diamond form, Frost's physical strength is increased to superhuman levels. At her peak, she is able to lift approximately 2 tons, but she doesn't know that yet. Emma will slowly be testing her limits, but no lifting anything over 200lbs for at least a year.

◊ Superhuman Stamina: While transformed, Frost's muscle tissue becomes infinitely more efficient than the organic musculature of normal humans, or most other organic beings for that matter. Her muscles produce almost no fatigue toxins during physical activity, granting her almost limitless superhuman stamina, or at least until or unless she is forced to resume her normal state.

◊ Superhuman Durability: Frost's diamond form renders her highly resistant to most forms of physical injury. She is able to resist great impact forces, such as being repeatedly struck with superhuman force, without being injured. Her body is also resistant to temperature extremes, able to withstand temperatures as cold as -320 degrees Farenheit or as hot as approximately 7,362 degrees Farenheit before her form begins to melt. She is also self contained while transformed, requiring no food, water or oxygen.

Could you please edit Warren's to:

Warren's got himself a pair of large, feathered wings. And yes, he can fly with them, even decently well. He doesn't know exactly what his limits are, when it comes to how high or how fast he can fly, but he's got superhuman stamina and a fairly impressive upper-body strength to account for this ability to fly, plus hollow bones and lungs that are adapted to get oxygen into his blood even at extreme altitudes... He's essentially a large bird that looks good with no shirt on.

On top of that, he has superhuman healing abilities, which means that serious injuries heal themselves away in a matter of minutes-to-hours (it depends on how serious), and his blood can be used to heal other people who have a compatible blood type. He doesn't yet know the full extent of what he can heal, and canon itself is fairly vague. We'll go with "He can't raise the dead, but he could probably save your life if you were well on the way there."

Cindy is very strong, in the 'can use cars like melee weapons' kind of strength. She also has enhanced stamina (again, using cars as melee weapons), and is very hard to kill. She heals rapidly (probably about the same speed as [livejournal.com profile] onapalebicycle) and while she takes the normal amount of damage from things, she's a very popular Fable, which means she could take a sniper bullet to the head and walk it off.

....Very eventually.

Lucas is strong enough to pick up a Canadian bassist and throw him into the tower of a castle a good distance away. I have no idea what that means in practical terms. But in Scott Pilgrim, those are practical terms.

Plz to edit Bobby's to:

Bobby has the ability to decrease thermal energy, which he uses for various purposes: to make ice slides to travel around on, to decrease the temperature in an area, to freeze bodies of water (including ambient moisture in the air) or to create projectile weapons.

He can also now transform himself into something called "organic ice", which is much more durable than his previous ice-armour. This means he can rebuild himself out of ambient moisture if he's, say, blown up or has a large chunk carved from his midsection or something.

He's immune to cold, sees in heat-vision while in his ice form, and could also give you pretty accurate information about the current temperature (in Fahrenheit, of course) and humidity.

Okay, but I liked it better when it said "sweet-ass ice powers." Just saying.
