Hey, guys!

For everybody's convenience in plotting, we try to keep a running (ifyoudon'tcountlastsemestercough) list of the various abilities possessed by FH characters. If you ever find yourself saying, "Hey, I need a magic user/archer/ninja/person who can watch 48 straight hours of Zac Efron movies and still remain sane," that list of powers is meant to be there for you to take a look at. (It's not mandatory; it just gives everybody a better reference when they're looking for people to help out with plots, and hey, might get your character roped into something fun!)

Here's how we deal with updating this baby!

All of the previous posts have been compiled into a spreadsheet that you can always head over to check; it's linked on the FH community info page.
This post only needs to be filled out for new characters, or if you have a correction/update for your older ones. If your stuff is listed over on the spreadsheet and nothing's changed, there's no need to fill out that category again. (And my poor aging eyes will love you because it's one less cell to update on a seven-page spreadsheet.)
The categories focus on "what can you do" instead of worrying about whether that's a magic or mutant or species-specific ability. So wacky powers are just broken into spellcasting, psionic powers, and superhuman physical attributes.
Anything that is a canon power or ability of your character (including those developed at FH) and could be used in a plot in some way, please list below in the correct thread. This is for all character types - students, teachers, townies and alumni/expats - and covers everything, not just the wacky powers. We also appreciate yer fighting, research, weapons, support skills and Zefron-resistance.

Witches, wizards - people who use magic in any form, basically. Please reply with a detailed explanation of how your ability works.

(This can include folks from canons like the Buffyverse, where any schmoe with a henna tattoo and a spicerack ~~is a sister to the dark ones~~ can perform basic ceremonial magic, while other spells require inherent magical abilities.)

This is a bit of a blanket thread for anyone who can do anything exceptional with their mind - empaths, telepaths, telekinetics, mediums, foreseers, etc. If you can do it with just the power of your braaaaaaaaain, it goes here.

Super-strength, super-jump if you hold down A and press B really fast at the same time, growth, shrinkage (not the cold shower kind), tentacles, regeneration, healing by laying on of hands not dirty. Unusual stuff that you can do with your body, or unusual facts about your body, both go here.

Please reply with a detailed explanation of which weapon/s your character is comfortable with and their skill level/s.

For those trained in combat, hand-to-hand or otherwise. (The weaponry thread is about tools; this is about actual fighting skills.) Please reply with a detailed explanation of what abilities in this range your character possesses, and their skill level/s.

If your character has a lot of experience in being a "sidekick" or has exceptional researching, language or organizational skills that might be beneficial in a plot, this is the place to reply. Additionally, this is the place to reply with medical experience if your character has any. Please reply with a detailed explanation of what abilities your character is possesses, and their skill level/s.

What it says on the label.

Ramona has the ability to call to herself a large mallet, which she can wield with some ease. Really, to say she calls it to her probably isn't fair; in Scott Pilgrim canon, the mallet is produced from her subspace purse. Since she doesn't have the bag in Fandom, though, the mallet appears in her hands when needed.

Ramona is susceptible to having 'video game universe' laws apply to her. For example, a gauge might appear above her head indicating her level of interest in a conversation, or a polyphonic ring -- like the one you might hear in a level-up or level-down in a classic video game -- might occur at certain events in her life. She can also do a little to bend physics in fights and stuff, within reason.

I used to have a beer icon, but now I only have this peppermint schnapps one.

It amuses me more than the beer.

Katniss uses a bow and arrow, and is a very good shot. She might be considered a sniper, considering how sparingly she uses her arrows, and is also very good at making sure to retrieve them.

George is a Reaper. She can't die, because she's already dead. She heals quickly when injured -- not Deadpool speed, but she holds a severed finger in place with a Band-Aid until it reattaches.

The Reaper metabolism also makes her body process poisons quickly. This means that she needs huge quantities of alcohol to get drunk, or drugs to get high/wasted.

Being a Reaper, George can remove souls from their bodies. She is seriously only supposed to do this before someone's death -- another character accidentally starts a religion by doing it to someone who wasn't dying. So she wouldn't do it for a bet, or anything, but if there was a plot-specific reason someone needed their soul to be (briefly) outside of their body, George could manage it.

Beer!

Katniss is pretty good with field medicine. She has no formal training, but has had to patch things up more than once, both on herself and on other tributes/etc, and her mother and sister are both sort of the District 12 equivalent of doctors/nurses. She can use found objects/plants/fabrics to create salves and tourniquets, and can recognize poisonous plants vs. healing ones.

So, she's a pretty good stopgap if you can't get right to a doctor.

Wes is from one of those any-schmoe-can-do-stuff canons, but he was actually trained in basic spellcasting and mystical know-how by the Watchers' Council, so he's got this pretty much covered. And he's always pulling random language expertise out of nowhere, so he can do your spell and translate it too!

Ender is now in possession of Jane, which means that hypothetically, he could get access to just about any kind of computer system as long as it's wired up to some version of the internet. For consent reasons, Jane's a little low-power in comparison to her canon self, but theoretically speaking Ender can now pretty much hack into anything.

Wesley has had tons and tons of weapon training. He's still working on some stuff, but he'll eventually get to a point where he can shoot two guns while jumping through the air and hit his target perfectly. Yeah, he's one of those. Perfect sharpshooter.

He's very good with a sword (except against Percy, ahem) and can wield all sorts of other fun stuff passably. Axes, crossbows, all sorts of stuff.

Wes is a killer researcher, and he has a trunk full of demonology books to prove it. And he speaks and reads a ton of languages, some proficiently and some full-on fluently. If you ever need a prophecy translated or a spell discovered from the depths of some zillion-year-old text or whathaveyou, he's your guy.

I only have tea. :(

I'm actually with you on that. I think people look good holding beer bottles, but bleeeeeeeeeuuugh on the taste.
