Character Abilities Tally!
Hey, guys!
For everybody's convenience, for both BDEs and personal plots, we try to keep a running list of the various abilities possessed by FH characters; the last time we did this was in January, so three runs of newbies later seemed like a good time to catch up.
If you ever find yourself saying, "Hey, I need a magic user/archer/ninja/dork who has all the dialogue to Galaxy Quest memorized," this list of powers is meant to be there for you to take a look at. It's not mandatory; it just gives everybody a better reference when they're looking for people to help out with plots, and hey, might get your character roped into something fun!
Here's how we deal with updating this baby!
Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to do this!
[Wait for the OCD or NO CUPCAKES. OCD up, cupcakes for all!]

Here's how we deal with updating this baby!
- All of the previous posts have been compiled into a spreadsheet that you can always head over to check; it's linked on the FH community info page.
- This post only needs to be filled out for new characters, or if you have a correction/update for your older ones. If your stuff is listed over on the spreadsheet and nothing's changed, there's no need to fill out that category again. (And my poor aging eyes will love you because it's one less cell to update on a seven-page spreadsheet.)
- Anything that is
a) a canon power or ability of your character, or
b) a skill/ability developed during their time in the game
and could be used in a plot in some way, please list below in the correct thread. This is for all character types - students, teachers, townies and alumni/expats - and covers everything, not just the wacky powers. We also appreciate yer fighting, research, weapons, support skills and ability to speak Tev'Meck. - The categories focus on "what can you do" instead of worrying about whether that's a magic or mutant or species-specific ability. So wacky powers are broken into spellcasting, psionic powers, and superhuman physical attributes, and non-wacky powers are divided into weapons, fighting, support, and miscellaneous (aka "It doesn't seem to fit in any of those groups, but dammit, you need to know that my character can do it!")
Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to do this!

Weaponry

Re: Weaponry
In a rare exception to the Buffyverse guns-are-bad rule, Wes is a near-perfect shot, and can shoot two guns while flying through the air and still make his target. He's also passable with a sword or a dagger (thanks, Percy), and probably cockier about it than his talents really merit. But really, it's the gun thing. Go to him. He'll shoot stuff for you.

Ranged weapons are less her forte. She's great with throwing knives, passable with a bow, but sucks beyond the telling of it with anything involving guns.
Re: Weaponry
Also, she swings a mean frying pan.
Re: Weaponry
Mind you, she's only used one for paintballs, but still.
Re: Weaponry
Re: Weaponry
She's also pretty nasty with a can of hairspray.

The need just hasn't arisen yet. Sooner or later, Warren is going to scare himself with those sticks.
Re: Weaponry
But so help him, if he finds himself unable to use his powers for whatever reason, he can and will brain you upside the skull with a brick. Or a lamp. Or whatever he can get his hands on that will leave you with a serious concussion.
And then he will snark at you and call you a loser and walk away.

Re: Weaponry
The main weapon she uses though are her agiels, aka, the magical dildos. They're about a foot-long baton-type weapon and in addition to being able to give a decent whallop, they cause intense pain (it's desribed as pretty much the worst pain possible) or death if applied to the heart, to anyone they touch. Including the person wielding them.
Re: Weaponry
Bruce has a utility belt in which he keeps shuriken, bolos, smoke bombs, small explosives, flash grenades, brass knuckles, a mechanical grapple that has a powerful winch and can be used as a powerful taser gun..
Bruce is very comfortable using all of those things. He has great accuracy with the shuriken and bolos, and he knows what he's doing with the explosives.
Bruce is also experienced - but not yet an expert by any means - with swords, staffs, and other melee weapons.
Re: Weaponry
Zayne's particular lightsaber has a slightly elongated hilt with a small curve in the middle that gives Zayne a unique grip that works well for him. The blade is a bright blue, due to having four blue crystals fused together inside it. It also has the names of his murdered classmates from Taris inscribed on the hilt.
Zayne also has a pair of Phrikite vambraces, although he only usually wears one on his right forearm/wrist. The Phrikite metal is able to withstand all but the strongest blows from a lightsaber, helping to keep Zayne's hand from being sliced off. When a lightsaber blade touches the metal, it glows.
