Picture me flailing in futile and exaggeratedly comic rage if it makes this whole comment redesign thing just an infinitesimal amount better.

It's come up in brainstorming before, that we've talked about having a seedier part of Fandom for petty thugs and light criminal activity. I'm actually thinking of apping a character who might be able to help get that started, and could open the door for more of it, but I'm not sure if there's enough general interest to have momentum for it.

Basic premise, she'd be running an Imports/Exports warehouse (i.e. smuggling) but also offering up her house as an unofficial halfway house for anyone out on parole looking to turn over a new leaf (i.e. potential henchmen).

Constant low-level criminal activity gives the cops something to do, and I'm sure some of the townies/students/teachers have contraband they'd like to lure in, or whatever? I don't know.

There was another idea I had, but now that I think about it, it's kind of separate so it's going to go separately. For it is Separate.

As an alternate and/or corollary to this idea, how about Con-Con, a convention where convicts, con-men, ex-cons, and other shady people with the word 'con' attached come to FH, see its undeveloped criminal potential, and some decide to move their base of operations to the island while the getting is good.

You and I were also chatting at one point -- this is the other idea mentioned previously!!! -- about whether or not people could possibly have player-run NPCs. Like -- I don't know. I've been on a Reno 911 kick lately, and it'd be fun to have some of those crazy people wandering around town now and then, but they're more caricatures than characters, and they might largely be useful as a "pull out to be cracky at other people" spot if people are into that.

That's a weird paragraph. I don't think I'm explaining it well.
