I really think we need a plot where the school board(?) decides to renovate the school building. You know get rid of those things students aren't using, like doors, light fixtures, the roof, maybe incorporate some nice non-Elucidean geometries while they're at it.

Okay. So I'm rapidly learning this season that ponies people folks not getting along in Equestria leads to CATASTROPHIC EVENTS. We're talking releasing Q Discord to wreak havok with chaos and/or encouraging an infestation of windigos (not a typo) to blast the area with a devastating blizzard.

Both of which can only be stopped with friendship and getting along.

WOULD FANDOM BE INTERESTED IN SOME SUCH THING HAPPENING HERE? Come on, it'd be glorious. GIVE IN TO THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP AND HARMONY!

Oh man, speaking of cons, annieadderall and I were poking around at the idea of having a bartender con. Or, like, extend it to characters who canonically hang out in bars as well. I freely admit to ulterior motives, but I still think it'd be fun.

It's come up in brainstorming before, that we've talked about having a seedier part of Fandom for petty thugs and light criminal activity. I'm actually thinking of apping a character who might be able to help get that started, and could open the door for more of it, but I'm not sure if there's enough general interest to have momentum for it.

Basic premise, she'd be running an Imports/Exports warehouse (i.e. smuggling) but also offering up her house as an unofficial halfway house for anyone out on parole looking to turn over a new leaf (i.e. potential henchmen).

Constant low-level criminal activity gives the cops something to do, and I'm sure some of the townies/students/teachers have contraband they'd like to lure in, or whatever? I don't know.

There was another idea I had, but now that I think about it, it's kind of separate so it's going to go separately. For it is Separate.

I'm a programmer by trade, and I do a lot of programming of web pages. And I'd just like to say that the fact that the site works (more or less) in Chrome, but not Firefox, is a big indicator of HALF-ASSING the testing process.

Also, there is a LOT of Javascript running behind the scenes, now. The page isn't ready when your browser says it's done loading -- it still needs to go through and use script to edit lots of the stuff it's laid out on the page. And if you even breathe funny while it's doing that, something gets screwed up and the page doesn't work. When you build something that touchy, you need to test the crap out of it, and I don't think they did. Or they knew it was buggy and released it anyway.

I actually like the new design, and think it's pretty (and I know that puts me in the minority)... but FUCK, LJ, learn to QA your work!
