BDE Vampire AU Brainstorming

So we've all probably got a bit of an idea of what we want our characters to have been up to over in the AU. What we need now is to get hooked up with people who have similar plotting needs or just really dig an idea.

This is that post! Ask for help accomplishing something for your AU character. Volunteer to help others! The OCD's set up by what type of character you have/want so just ping in with what you're looking for/hoping for.

My thoughts are much like yours, up to and including the "not sure what." But I agree it would be a wasted opportunity if we didn't.

Heh.

My more complete thoughts, let me show you them:

1. I do not want Tara to die in the AU, both because I'm already killing at least one person off and because I think that even weakened, a Buffyverse witch will be a good character to keep around for the duration of the plot.

2. That said, I am totally up for inflicting horrendous mental anguish on the girl.

3. I'm assuming every newbie on the island would know who Willow is as part of the 'Welcome to Fandom, Here's How Not to Die' briefing.

4. Spitballing here, but what if Willow somehow learns there's a witch from her home dimension on the island and tries to lure her out to neutralize the threat, either through killing, turning, or convincing her vamps are just misunderstood? And then we can play with some kind of cat-and-mouse mutual attraction until somebody saves Tara or she runs like heck. (See point 1 about not getting her killed.) Obviously that's from the top of my head, but it's an option.

Ooo - that could work. Esp if Willow wanted to make sure they hadn't accidentally sucked in (...heh) a witch who could cause problems for her magic.

She could try to act like normal!Willow to lure Tara in (because she'd know she was too slutty and boobtacular not to come off vampy in her usual clothes) and from there reveal, cat/mouse, etc. I like.

I like that too. Tara is dumb soft-hearted enough that she'd probably believe Willow if she claimed the vamp thing was just bad PR and she was just a witch in a bad situation.

... and then reveal, cat/mouse, and either RUN TARA RUN or strong-arming Tara over to Bones for playtime.

I'll email you and Bones to work out timing, if you don't mind combining the two things?
