(I wrote it. I'm allowed to cannibalize it. Hush.)

In an effort to keep things a little more organized for plottishness and so on, we're going to ask a quick favor of you all.

Could you please reply to each appropriate comment below, and let us know what kind of powers/abilities/etc your character possesses? This is for all characters - students/alumni, teachers and townies - and covers everything including especially good researching/support skills, magic, skill with weaponry, mutations and so on. This is mandatory for all characters, and we would appreciate it ASAP though there is no specific deadline.

Anything that is a canon¹ power or ability of your character and could be used in a plot in some way, please list below in the correct thread. Temporary powers for specific plots do not need to be noted now.

Please be as thorough as possible, as this will help everyone out with plots and knowing who can fill what roles.

¹ In this instance, "canon" does refer to FH canon as well. If your character at this time has honed their fighting skills or anything like that, please do make sure to note that. For guidelines on characters picking up abilities, please see this post.

Lana's smart, good at organizing things (ran a coffee shop at the same time she was getting straight A's in school), and she's learned a small amount of martial arts. Not enough to be useful in any way at this point, but...

And, um, she's nice. And thoughtful and kind. High skill levels in all of those. ;)

Oh, and she has a taser.

Here!

Buffy's a slayer (duh), which means she's got the handy dandy fighting capabilities and is really resilient, healing from injuries quickly. She's also got some enhanced senses that allow her to sort of sense vampires and invisible girls who might be sneaking up on her. She's had precognitive dreams, and has some nifty slayer collective memory, but she's not aware of that yet.

Teyla is an expert at the Athosians' hand-to-hand stick fighting style. She's also very good when unarmed.

Ghanima's favorite weapon is her crysknife, but she's also pretty deadly with her kama, tambo, bo, and any sort of knife or short-sword. She's also killed people in book-canon with a blowdart.

In reality, if you hand her a weapon, she can probably use it. She has full access to her Other Memory (see the Inherent Abilities thread), so if it's something one of her ancestors would have used, she can use it too. Maybe not at a mastery level the first few times, but she'd still be very good.

Voice impressions and accents. Animal noises - which I don't know if that would ever be useful to a plot, but he can do that.

He also has mechanical/engineering skills having used such to help build various weaponary and retrofit vehicles.

It is theorized that Murdock may have a photographic/idetic memory as he can recall tons of information.

Oh! And I nearly forgot...lockpicking and he knows morse code.

He has a rare blood type, AB negative. Just in case it should ever come up.

Teyla's ancestors were experimented on by a race called the Wraith. They had Wraith DNA mixed with their own, and through the magic of reproduction, Teyla's DNA still has traces of the Wraith kind. When a Wraith is nearby, she can sense them, and through practice in canon, she's been able to get into their heads and read their minds. The problem is, it's not exactly a secretive practice, and they can get into Teyla's head in return when she does that, and control her.

Jaye may be nuts. She hears inanimate objects telling her to do things and she has to obey them for good things to happen for other people. (It's unclear what exactly is telling her to do this and I'm not trying to explain that when canon couldn't.) She's the only one who can hear them, and they raaaaaaaaaarely ever focus on her.

Zoe is very, very good with guns. She's not so bad with knives either, especially since her aim is good, but guns are her best weapon.

Zoe has military training, so she's really better with weapons, but she knows how to take a man down with her bare hands, as long as she's dealing with someone human.

One of the strands of Zoe's DNA is made of pure awesomeness. Trufax!

Dirtiness!

Ghanima is well-versed in hand-to-hand, and tends to mash the various Earth-disciplines together if she's sparring with someone. She also fights dirty.

If she's actually fighting, she'll be using the martial art known as the Weirding Way. A trained Sister has full control over each muscle in her body; it allows her to bend the last joint in her little toe while remaining otherwise motionless, bend and contort her body in ways that most would consider impossible, put a remarkable amount of force behind a physical blow, or move with extreme precision and speed. Ghanima is considered a Master of the Way, but she is still not as good as Leto. Then again, no one is.

The Way can be taught to non-Bene Gesserit, but Ghani is picky about who gets lessons.

Jess is a voracious reader, and has no trouble reading and summarizing things, even documents with big scary words.

He can also do basic magic tricks. :)

Ronon's more than capable using all sorts of guns, explosives, knives, and swords. His energy pistol is his weapon of choice with its ability to be set to stun or kill. He takes advantage of that stun setting, yes he does.

Just in case my double doesn't come through with this.

Sam comes from a place where magic consists of protective charms and symbols, rituals, etc. (Anything reality-based, really.) His abilities lie with spells in Latin, especially exorcisms.

Guns, knives, bats and other blunt objects: Very good
Bows and crossbows: Pretty good
Swords: Passable

He leaves anything involving fire to Dean. :)

Ronon has some jaw-dropping fighting skills and can basically kick everyone's ass in his own canon unless he's in a mood and then Teyla needs to stop hitting him already.

Sam is an above-average fighter, although he has no formal training, just what he learned from his dad. However, Sam does tend to be one of the first people to go down or get caught in a fight - which usually allows him to be bait for whatever Dean or his dad are trying to kill.

He can fight rather well. Narns are naturally stronger than humans, so that will give him an advantage against normal opponents.

Xander comes from a universe where magic works, and he can do spells that any schmoe with the proper recipe book and spicerack can do, but he's got no inherent magical ability of his own. (Whether any of these spells would work where he currently is, hanging in the PR universe, is anybody's guess.)

Sam has some demon blood in him. NO WE STILL DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THAT DOES. *grumbles* We're still assuming that the demonic blood is what gives him his visions and nightmares, and allows him to use the abilities of the demon's other special kids.

Ronon has dreads of awesome, and his hair eats your hair for BREAKFAST!

Sam knows Latin. Sam loves Latin. He probably has at least a passing knowledge of other ancient or dead languages as well, in addition to Hebrew.

He also has mid-level First Aid skills.
