School Board Visit - February 5-9

Hello denizens of Fandom!

Next week (Monday-Friday, February 5-9 ie: not this week coming, the following week) Fandom will be receiving a visit from the Fandom High school board. The board is the group of people behind the running of the school that Zoe reports to on all the craziness we get up to in these parts. They arrange the funding, make the rules, etc.

What We Need:
We're looking for volunteers to play some of the school board characters. These visitors will arrive on Monday, will stay in town (pending an arrangement with the Arms hotel), are free to roam about the island and sit in on classes all in the name of checking up on the school. There will be a chance to inspect the dorms and whatnot, but hanging out in the common rooms is not on the agenda. You will need to be available to play from February 5-9. We understand that people work during the day, but as long as you're available for a couple of hours each day (even if it's in the US evening), you're eligible.

We're looking for people to play the following characters to join our existing board members (who will be out and about next week as well):
Sophia Petrillo (The Golden Girls)
Superintendent Chalmers (The Simpsons)
Papa Smurf (The Smurfs)
Mister Ed (Mister Ed)
Endora (Bewitched)
Charlie (Charlie's Angels - may just be a portable speaker carried around by a beautiful woman)
Alex P. Keaton (Family Ties)
Grandpa Munster (The Munsters)
Scrooge McDuck (Ducktales)
Mr Kotter (Welcome Back Kotter)
Richie Rich (Richie Rich - comics or movie)
Jed Clampett (The Beverly Hillbillies)
Darkwing Duck (Darkwing Duck)

If you have a character that is not listed here that you think should be on the school board and you are willing to play them yourself please also feel free to submit a proposal via email.

To volunteer your services (not dirty) please email administration@fandomhigh.net with the character, the fandom (if the character is not on the list above) and your availability for next week.

We don't need all of these characters, but we're looking for a handful of volunteers that we'll then narrow down based on what we need. All volunteers will receive an email on Thursday letting them know whether we require your services or not. You'll receive instructions for the week and will be able to create a new journal for the character. Please do not jump the gun and create a journal now as you may not be called on.

What This Means For Everyone Else: This will be announced ICly at the staff meeting on Monday, and in morning announcements. Staff will probably have a visitor or two sit in on their class for that week. Students will be subject to a dorm inspection.

Students and staff alike will be under instructions to be on their best behaviour. Whether you choose to obey or choose to wreak utter havoc is totally up to you. Fandom, with its quirky sense of humor, will be throwing weirdness at everyone all week anyway, despite everyone's best efforts to keep the weird hidden from the board.

ETA: Aside from a few exceptions, we'd prefer old school-type characters for the board.
