This Friday, students will be able to participate in a comedy festival. They'll be able to do standup, comedic scenes, reciting humorous essays, whatever they can think of that would be theoretically amusing on a stage. If you would like to participate in this, please comment in the appropriate OCD thread with what characters will be involved (and, yes, people can and hopefully will team up) and what you would like to do. Comments will be screened, of course, and we'll be needing these by Thursday afternoon to give time to set up the festival post. If for any reason you need a prompt for a humorous scene, I'm perfectly willing to come up with something suitably nuts as a suggestion.

Building up to this week's Friday event will be a little thing I like to call Joke week. Every day until Friday, at least one classic joke will come to life and play out in Fandom. Just like the chicken crossing the road today, the jokes will be strange but fairly low-key and easily ignored. I'll be getting those posts up because, well, I love bad jokes.

I also love to share bad jokes, though, and that's why in addition to chickens and clowns and such that will be making cameo appearances through the week, doors will also be knocked on in a completely moddable way. If you'd like to join in on the bad joke fun, you can put up a room post (or office post or business post or what have you) and hear a persistant knocking on the door. If you open up the door, nobody will be there. If, however, you ask "Who's there?" a mysterious voice will answer with a knock knock joke of your choosing. Once the punchline has been recited, a rimshot will sound and the voice will disappear. The knocking, mysterious voice, and knock knock joke will be provided by you, of course. It's not that my hands are full, it's just that I just flew in from New York and boy are my arms tired.
