With finals approaching for the first session, now would probably be the time to mention that I'm going to be doing something a little special for Batman's final class of the session. Instead of a straightforward final, Advanced Survivalism students will have a special guest lecturer: the Clown Prince of Crime himself, The Joker. As you might expect, Batman didn't plan this.

The night before the final class, Batman's arch-nemesis will show up on the island, incapacitate the Bat, and hide him in an undisclosed location. Then, on June 28, Joker will show up in front of Batman's class and present a very special lesson about how you're all going to die eventually. For homework, he'll give students a web address to view a live stream of Batman's death that night. Batman will of course be triumphant in the end, BUT if people want, there could be a little more to it.

My thinking is that the real fun for the Joker would be seeing how many of Batman's students try to save him and die horrible deaths in the process. So he'll have a bunch of clever clues for Batman's students that will direct them to a specific warehouse on the island where they will have to deal with booby traps and thugs to fight. I have some very specific ideas about this if people are interested in sending their students to the trap rescue. If people are interested, please let me know in the comments to this post. (FYI, the Joker's intent is to get Batman's students specifically, but he's more than happy to orchestrate the messy deaths of any other children, too. He is a clown, after all.)

ETA: Okay, there's definitely enough interest in the Joker's warehouse of death, so it's definitely happening. Please still drop your name in the thread if you are interested, though, so I have a rough headcount for how many death traps I need to think up. I'll have another plottery post a little later in the week about preplays vs live play.
